This last weekend we went to Castle Gorge, just inside the North West from Gauteng. It’s a wonderful hiking trail, I recommend if you enjoy hiking that you at least organise with your group to go there.

This time I took a slightly different approach to the hike, I needed less distraction so I could contemplate life, the universe, and almost everything else. I should read the Douglas Adams books again; I think. I managed to calm my thoughts, at least, and worked out the best plan to solve a few things.

The route is around 12.8km long, I did my usual a few times so worked out to quite a longer hike for me. It’s a great adventure to get to the waterfall, make sure you start early if it’s going to be a hot day, or go towards the cooler times of the year.
