You should know, when you end your year, you can have a fabulous time with an experience in nature.

At Dinokeng Game Reserve you can experience the world with the possibility of seeing all of the big 5! To end the year R.P. and I, E.J.L, went through to camp at Kyleu Bush Camp to explore the nature around us.

Photos were taken with a mix of a Samsung Galaxy S10, a Samsung Galaxy A31, and a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W800. That’s either 12MP or 10MP on the S10; or 48MP on the A31; or 20.1MP on the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W800 I’ve got. The photos are named as either date and time for the the phone taken photos, or DSC for the Sony.

The Sample Gallery

Arrival: Down the first stretch of road in the reserve
Warthogs are cute
A look at Kyleu camp 6, where we stayed
The first sunset
The first morning over our tent
The pink in tons of places, and photos, up close for those interested
Wanted to show off a bit for us to watch
Notice the art he had on his leg
Found after seeing them move around the corner in front of us
Mom ruffled in the sand a bit for us
Dawn of day 2
Came to sit on the little tree right by our car, didn’t mind us, or the photo opportunity
A mom and her little ones
The little monkey studied us a little
Dawn on our final day

Afterthoughts

In the unsafe times we are in: stay safe, keep your safety distances, where possible you can go out somewhere to remind yourself that the world is an awesome place!

There were two simple steps to the photo edits above:

  1. All adjusted, color and saturation mostly, through Photolemur 3.
  2. All cropped a little whenever needed, for instance when in a wide angle shot from the phones, or when the photo taken caught a little bit of the car.

We could have adjusted the Photolemur 3 processing adjustments, it all used the default No Style with no adjustments, we made the images smaller above since you wouldn’t want to wait for ages on such large images. You can go way further with the adjustments in your photos that you’d like to have, we just kept it simple this time.
