While the AeF:Hype app still uses some temporary art, it has been cleaned and adjusted to the state where it appears to be working well. Over the next week or two, I will organise the closed Beta, soon, and show off the features in a better manner.

The Menu Screen

I decided for V1 to port the working project from C# MAUI using XAML, to use Blazor Hybrid. I’d gotten to the point that I could rarely replicate any rare bugs stage of the project.

It did add a delay, but it went pretty well.

The goal became clean up AeF to make the simplest user-friendly app for my exercise plans. I know I currently show the incorrect exercises in some of the images, it will be fixed and revamped by the release.

As a note, for the username, it is at present randomised, and you can change it in the settings. It will eventually only allow you to change it when you start up the app on the view where you need to agree to the Terms and Conditions. If the app gains enough traction I will add in a method to have a way to share progress with friends.

As a note, I’m working out how I’ll monetise it, to draw a passive income for me. I’m deciding on making certain parts of the app free for the 14 days, to give 2 weeks to try everything out, and then get a once off fee to keep all features active.

As in, a single once-off purchase to continue using the stats tracking and graphs, see more than 7 days exercise history, and more than your last 7 achievements in history. I’m undecided about it, though, as it doesn’t feel quite right to me. I’m also considering donations alongside a way to give feedback, suggestions, and feature requests, possibly.

You will note, on the AeF:Hype page, the world map shows approximate app use locations. Technically, the only stat I collect.

For friends and family who’d like to try it out, it will only be available on Android, you can drop me a message or email me – my first name @ this domain.

As a note, the art style will likely go to a more animated look, for the exercises themselves. At present it is mostly animated gifs with no style, some exercises are missing, and some aren’t showing the correct gif at present, but the plan is to make more impressive, animated helpers for each exercise.

While I’ve been using it over the last month as I ironed everything out, I decided to start from scratch today, to be able to show off a little more.
